Recent Interview and Overview of Global Trends

About Me: "Zapata" George Blake

George passed away the weekend of July 6th, 2010. He will be missed, both for his wealth of knowledge of the oil and gas industries, but also for his teachings and warnings to humanity that as the crisis of Peak Oil comes down on us like a freight train, humanity will be hitting a brick wall. Everything from food and clothing to the transportation that brings these items to us - everything we touch in our day to day lives - depends on Petroleum, or as George often said "BTUs". It is fitting that as he passed a crisis developed in the oil industry; reserves are running out and production cannot keep up with demand. May his spirit help guide us into these dark times ahead.

My Resume in 100 words or less:

  • I'm older than dirt and since one of my degrees is in Geology, most folks in the business consider me somewhat of an authority on the subject.

  • I Graduated from Colorado School of Mines back when they gave Silver Diplomas. Colorado School of Mines is considered by many to be the most prestigious schools of geology and mining in the world.

  • I have two degrees: one in Geology and one in Engineering.

  • I have been President of Two Independent Oil Companies in Oklahoma City.

  • I was "The Customer's Man" for E.F. Hutton serving Brokerages and Financial Clients in the Oil Business. I'm frequently asked to speak for Radio, Web and Video broadcasts due to a track record of helping funds perform in stressful times of skyrocketing oil and energy costs and uncertain economics.

  • Please note: in my mind, there's very little uncertainty about what is taking place today.

  • I bring the financial world an extensive knowledge of the Geology of Oil and Minerals and the Global Oil Business, presented in an honest, factual, easy-to-understand approach.

Again I say: Oil is headed for $160 and beyond..."
